Priority experience of the Environmental Protection Department's new environmental resource center
優先體驗環境保護署全新環境資源中心─「識碳館」

 
Our S.2 students made a visit to the former Wan Chai Environmental Resource Centre which has been renovated into the “kNOw Carbon House”. With the theme of carbon neutrality, the new “kNOw Carbon House” aims to raise public awareness on the subject through a wide variety of interactive experiences and educational activities, including interactive games, talks, environmental workshops, etc. Apart from honouring the original architecture and keeping items with historic value from the Old Wan Chai Post Office, the new “kNOw Carbon House” also provides multimedia educational materials to make our visit delightful. The well-known mascot “Big Waster” is also there to introduce to all of us how we can lead a low-carbon lifestyle by making small changes in our daily habits in respect of clothing, food, living and travel.
 
中二同學參觀識「碳」館，該館以碳中和為主題，透過多元化的互動體驗和教育元素，包括互動遊戲、講座和環保工作坊等，提高同學對碳中和的認識。識「碳」館除保留了原灣仔郵政局的原有建築風格及部分富歷史價值的擺設外，亦設置了多媒體教材，增加參觀的趣味性；而大家熟悉的「大嘥鬼」亦出現向同學介紹從衣、食、住、行中如何改變生活上的小習慣，實踐低碳生活。
